“Proceed” by the Roots, posted by Ben

Hi all, Ben the bass player here. I’ve been listening to a lot of The Roots lately. Watching them on their plush day job on the Jimmy Fallon show and seeing Questlove’s name appear everywhere in the world of music, it’s easy to forget that the The Roots were once a young hungry band. That they’ve been together a good 25 years (formed in 1987!), and have stayed on top of their game for all this time, is huge testament to their musicianship and originality.

So here’s a live version of “Proceed” from their second studio album and major label debut, 1995’s “Do You Want More?!!!??!” with Leonard Nelson Hubbard rocking the catchy-as-hell bass line, and beatboxer Rahzel on the intro.

"Do You Want More?!!!??!” That’s a rhetorical question right? Well, the answer is "Yes!" (and thank you Roots for providing more and more and more . . .)
